국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 개교 90주년을 기념해 전국 청소년과 청년을 대상으로 「국립순천대학교 전국 밴드경연대회」 참가팀을 모집한다고 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 밴드음악을 매개로 전국의 청춘들이 열정과 실력을 겨루는 교류의 장으로, 본선은 12월 4일(목) 오후 4시 30분부터 국립순천대학교 운동장 특별무대에서 열린다. 예선을 통과한 8개 팀이 본선 무대에 오르며, 국내 밴드씬에서 활발히 활동 중인 아티스트의 축하공연도 함께 진행될 예정이다.

참가 자격은 만 10세 이상 30세 이하의 청소년·청년 밴드(초·중·고·대학생/대학원생 일부 포함 가능)이며, 장르 제한 없이 자유곡 1곡을 연주한 영상을 제출하면 된다. 예선 접수는 10월 29일(수)부터 11월 16일(일) 23:59까지 이메일(cmc3198@scnu.ac.kr)을 통해 진행되며, 영상 심사를 거쳐 본선 진출팀이 선정된다.

본선에서는 전문 뮤지션으로 구성된 심사위원단이 ▲음악적 완성도 ▲창의성·무대 퍼포먼스 ▲팀워크 ▲현장 관객 호응도 등을 종합 평가해 대상(300만 원), 최우수상(200만 원), 우수상(100만 원), 장려상(50만 원), 인기상(30만 원)을 시상한다. 또한 본선 진출팀 전원에게는 사진미디어전공 학부생이 직접 촬영한 프로필 사진이 제공되어 젊은 뮤지션들의 새로운 도약을 지원한다.

한편, 이번 밴드경연대회는 국립순천대학교 개교 90주년을 기념해 열리는 「go(90), SCNU Glocal Youth Festa」의 첫날 주요 프로그램으로 진행된다. 이 축제는 매월 다른 주제로 열리는 국립순천대 대표 프로그램 ‘달달 무슨 달’의 연말 확장판으로, 12월 4일(목)부터 5일(금)까지 이틀간 캠퍼스 전역에서 펼쳐지는 전국 규모의 청년 페스티벌이다.

행사는 ▲전국 밴드경연대회 ▲크리스마스 경관조명 점등식 ▲토크콘서트 ▲창업 및 진로 체험 부스 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 구성되며, 전국 청소년과 청년, 지역 주민 누구나 참여할 수 있다.

특히, ▲[국제교류교육본부]의 국가 문화체험 부스 및 글로벌 레크리에이션, ▲[산학협력단]의 지역연계형 진로·체험·성과페스티벌, ▲[창업지원단]의 창업팀 전시 및 제품 홍보·판매 부스 등 대학의 핵심 부서가 협력해 글로컬 청년문화 확산의 장을 마련한다.

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-Woon) announced that it is now accepting applications for the National Band Contest, part of the university’s 90th-anniversary celebration. The event aims to create a vibrant exchange platform where young musicians from across the country showcase their passion and talent through live band performances.

The finals will take place on Thursday, December 4, at 4:30 p.m. on the special outdoor stage at SCNU’s main stadium. Eight bands selected through preliminary video auditions will compete on stage, and the event will also feature special guest performances by artists active in Korea’s live music scene.

Eligibility is open to youth and young adults aged 10?30, including elementary, middle, high school, university, and some graduate students. There are no genre restrictions. Applicants must submit a performance video of one free-choice song between October 29 and November 16 (by 11:59 p.m.) via email at cmc3198@scnu.ac.kr. Finalists will be selected through video screening.

During the finals, a panel of professional musicians will evaluate performances based on musical quality, creativity, stage presentation, teamwork, and audience engagement. Winners will receive cash prizes: Grand Prize (?3 million), Excellence Award (?2 million), Merit Award (?1 million), Encouragement Award (?500 000), and Popularity Award (?300 000). All finalists will also receive professional profile photos taken by students from SCNU’s Department of Photo-Media, supporting their artistic careers.

go(90), SCNU Glocal Youth Festa ? A Nationwide Celebration of Youth and Creativity

The National Band Contest will serve as the opening highlight of “go(90), SCNU Glocal Youth Festa,” a two-day youth festival held from December 4 to 5 across the SCNU campus. The event, an expanded year-end edition of the university’s signature monthly program Dal-Dal Museun Dal (Sweet, What a Moon), is designed as a national-scale celebration where music, culture, and youth creativity come together.

The festival will feature a variety of programs, including the National Band Contest, a Christmas Illumination Ceremony, Talk Concerts, and Career and Entrepreneurship Experience Booths. Youth, students, and local residents from across the nation are invited to participate.

In addition, key university divisions will collaborate to create a truly glocal cultural platform. The Office of International Affairs will operate a Global Culture Experience Booth and recreation zone; the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation will host a Regional Career and Experience Festival; and the Startup Support Center will showcase startup team exhibitions, product promotions, and sales booths.

President Lee Byung-Woon stated, “This national band contest will be a passionate stage where youthful energy resonates across our campus and a festival where dreams and possibilities converge,” adding, “Through go(90), SCNU Glocal Youth Festa, Sunchon National University will continue to grow as a glocal campus leading youth culture beyond the region.”
