- 지역사회 문제 해결과 창의융합 인재 양성을 위한 첫걸음

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 지난 17일 산학협력관 파루홀에서 2025학년도 RISE사업 G-1 글로벌 지역특화 인재양성 캡스톤디자인 프로그램 오리엔테이션을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 창의적 문제 해결 능력과 실무 역량 강화를 목표로 하는 캡스톤디자인 교과목 운영에 앞서 학생들의 이해를 돕고, 프로그램 운영 방향을 공유하기 위해 마련되었다.

이날 오리엔테이션에는 캡스톤디자인 프로그램 담당자, 수강생 등 약 100명이 참석했으며, △2025학년도 캡스톤디자인 운영 일정 및 지원사항 안내 △과제 수행비 지급법 △지출 서류 및 시스템 등록 방법 △결과보고서 작성 요령 등이 안내되었다.

국립순천대학교는 캡스톤디자인을 통해 지역사회와 산업체가 직면한 문제를 해결하고 실질적인 산학협력 성과를 창출하고 있다. 올해에도 다양한 전공 학생들이 참여해 실무 중심의 창의적 프로젝트를 수행할 예정이다.

한편, 이명훈 RISE 사업지원센터장은 “캡스톤디자인은 학생들이 배운 지식을 실제 문제 해결에 적용하는 대표적인 실무형 교육 프로그램”이라며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 연계한 현장 중심 교육을 강화해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Sunchon National University Holds Orientation for the RISE G-1 Global Regional Talent Cultivation Capstone Design Program

- A first step toward fostering creative, convergent talent and solving local community challenges

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-Woon) announced that it held the 2025 RISE G-1 Global Regional Talent Cultivation Capstone Design Program Orientation on October 17 at the Faru Hall of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Building.

The event was organized to help students better understand the Capstone Design curriculum ? a hands-on course aimed at strengthening creative problem-solving skills and practical competencies ? and to share key program details and management guidelines before the semester’s implementation.

Approximately 100 participants, including program coordinators and enrolled students, attended the session. The orientation covered essential topics such as the 2025 academic year Capstone Design schedule and support system, guidelines for project funding, expense documentation and system registration procedures, and report writing methods.

Through the Capstone Design program, SCNU continues to generate tangible outcomes in university-industry collaboration by addressing real-world challenges faced by local communities and businesses. This year as well, students from diverse academic disciplines will work together on creative, field-based projects designed to provide practical solutions and innovation-driven results.

Professor Lee Myung-Hoon, Director of the RISE Project Support Center, stated, “Capstone Design represents a core experiential learning program where students apply their academic knowledge to real-world problem-solving. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen field-oriented education linked to the local community to nurture future-ready, practical innovators.”
