- 시설장(원장·센터장)·조리사 대상 식중독 예방 및 나트륨 저감 교육 실시

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)가 위탁 운영 중인 광양시 어린이·사회복지급식관리지원센터(센터장 이해인)는 지난 7월 16일 광양시 보건소 다목적실에서 센터 등록 어린이급식소 및 사회복지급식소의 시설장(원장·센터장)과 조리사를 대상으로 집합교육을 실시했다.

이번 교육은 ‘식중독 예방 교육 및 나트륨 저감화’를 주제로 진행됐으며, 약 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 어린이와 사회복지 급식소의 위생·안전 관리와 영양 관리 실무 능력 향상을 목적으로 구성됐다.

교육에 참여한 어린이집 원장은 “집합교육에 참여해 식중독 예방 방법에 대해서 알 수 있는 유익한 시간이었으며, 강조해서 들은 식중독 예방을 기억하고 안전한 급식을 위해서 더욱더 신경을 쓰겠다”라고 소감을 전했다. 또한, 시설장과 조리사들은 “급식소 위생·안전 예방법에 대해 알게 됐고, 각 시설에 건강하고 맛있는 음식을 제공할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”며 교육에 대한 높은 만족도를 보였다.

이해인 센터장은 “이번 집합교육을 통해 관내 어린이와 어르신의 안전한 급식을 위해 현장에서 노력하시는 시설장과 조리사들의 전문성을 강화할 수 있는 시간이었다”라며 “광양시센터는 관내에 있는 급식소를 대상으로 안전하고 건강한 급식이 제공될 수 있도록 위생적인 환경 조성을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.

한편, 광양시센터는 하반기에도 등록 시설을 대상으로 위생·안전·영양 관리교육과 함께 ‘스마트 알찬 놀이터’, ‘영양 껑충! 건강 껑충!’ 등 다양한 특화사업을 운영할 예정이다.

Gwangyang City Center for Child and Social Welfare Meal Services Hosts Group Training on Food Poisoning Prevention 

? Training for facility directors and cooks focuses on hygiene, food safety, and sodium reduction

The Gwangyang City Center for Child and Social Welfare Meal Services, operated by Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon), conducted a group training session on July 16 at the Gwangyang City Public Health Center. The training targeted facility directors and cooks from registered child care and social welfare meal service institutions under the Center’s supervision.

Held under the theme of “Food Poisoning Prevention and Sodium Reduction,” the training was attended by approximately 100 participants. It aimed to strengthen the hygiene, safety, and nutritional management skills of those responsible for food service operations in child and social welfare facilities.

One participating daycare center director commented, “The session was a valuable opportunity to learn practical methods for preventing foodborne illness. I will make sure to remember the key points and further prioritize food safety.” Other facility managers and cooks also expressed high satisfaction, noting that they gained useful knowledge about hygiene and food safety practices and felt motivated to provide healthier and safer meals in their respective institutions.

Center Director Lee Hae-in stated, “This group training served as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen the expertise of directors and cooks working on the frontlines to ensure safe and healthy meals for children and seniors in our community. The Gwangyang Center will continue doing its utmost to create hygienic food service environments across all registered institutions.”

In the second half of the year, the Gwangyang Center plans to offer additional training on hygiene, safety, and nutrition management, along with specialized programs such as “Smart & Fun Nutrition Playground” and “Jump Up Nutrition, Jump Up Health” for participating facilities.
