- 서울대 탐방·방송국 체험 등 다양한 진로 체험 기회 제공

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 순천시로부터 수탁 운영 중인 순천시가족센터는 지난 8월 2일(토)부터 12일(화)까지 다문화가족 20가정을 대상으로 ‘진로 탐방 캠프’를 운영했다. 이번 캠프는 순천교육지원청의 지원으로 운영되어, 자녀들에게 다양한 진로 탐색 및 체험 기회를 제공했다.

2일(토) 캠프 사전 활동에서는 협동심과 친밀감 향상을 위한 ‘친해지기 팀빌딩’ 프로그램을 진행했으며, 학부모를 대상으로는 캠프 안전 사항과 세부 정보 공유를 통해 자녀의 캠프 활동을 충분히 이해할 수 있도록 별도의 시간을 마련했다. 이어 6일부터 8일까지 2박 3일간의 진로 캠프에서는 서울대학교 캠퍼스 탐방, 방송국 진로 체험, 연극 관람 및 공예 활동 등 문화 예술부터 스포츠 체험까지 다양한 분야의 진로 탐색 기회를 제공했다.

특히, 서울대학교 탐방과 방송국 진로 체험, 연극 관람은 자녀들에게 학문적 호기심을 자극하고 실질적인 진로 체험 기회를 제공하여 자신의 관심 분야에 대해 직접 경험할 수 있는 소중한 시간이 되었다. 12일에는 사후 활동으로 ‘나만의 진로 노트’ 작성 활동을 통해 그동안의 경험을 정리하고, 배움과 즐거움을 나누며 자신의 꿈과 목표를 설정하는 시간을 가졌다.

참여한 자녀들은 “아직 꿈을 정하지 못했는데, 진로 캠프에 가서 다양한 직업을 체험할 수 있어 좋았다. 세상에는 정말 많은 직업이 있다는 것을 알게 되어 뜻깊은 시간이었다.”, “뉴스 리포터를 실습할 때 긴장해서 목소리가 작게 나왔지만 칭찬받아 기뻤고, 서울대학교 홍보대사분들의 설명도 인상깊었다. 다음에 또 참여하고 싶다.”며 높은 만족감을 나타냈다.

박애리 순천시가족센터장은 ‘이번 진로 탐방 캠프가 다문화가족 자녀들이 다양한 직업을 체험하며 꿈을 구체화하는 데 큰 도움이 되었기를 바란다.’라고 전했다.

한편, 순천시가족센터는 앞으로도 다문화가족 자녀들의 건강한 성장과 행복한 미래를 위해 다양한 프로그램을 지속 제공할 계획이다.

SCNU Family Center Hosts Career Exploration Camp for Multicultural Families

- Offered diverse experiences including visits to Seoul National University and a broadcasting station

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its Suncheon Family Center, which it operates under commission from Suncheon City, successfully held a Career Exploration Camp for 20 multicultural families from August 2 to 12, supported by the Suncheon Office of Education.

The program began with team-building activities for students and orientation sessions for parents. From August 6 to 8, participants took part in a three-day camp that included a campus tour of Seoul National University, career experience at a broadcasting station, a theater performance, and hands-on arts and sports activities. On August 12, students wrapped up the program by creating their own “career notebooks” to reflect on their experiences and set future goals.

Students expressed high satisfaction, noting that the camp broadened their awareness of career paths. One participant shared, “I didn’t know what I wanted to be, but this camp showed me how many different jobs exist. It was truly meaningful.” Another added, “Practicing as a news reporter was exciting, and the campus tour at Seoul National University left a strong impression.”

Aeri Park, Director of the Suncheon Family Center, stated, “We hope this camp helps multicultural children envision and shape their dreams through meaningful career experiences.” The Suncheon Family Center plans to continue offering diverse programs that support the healthy growth and bright future of multicultural families in the region.
